CONNECTION. COLLABORATION. COMMUNITY.

COMMUNITY MANAGER - Future Locations

As a Community Manager, you’ll be responsible for the daily operations, be the primary point of contact for the community and be the face of The Corner Coworking.

About The Corner Coworking

For the past 5 years, The Corner has been the best and only co-working space in Cochrane, Alberta. Now we’re expanding with new locations!

At The Corner, we don’t just care about great coffee, solid & secure Wi-Fi and comfortable/ergonomic desks and chairs. We care about building an amazing business community for our members.

The first location opened in 2016, and we have tripled in size. Since then, thousands of litres of premium locally-roasted coffee have been consumed. Thousands of commuting hours (& gas) have been saved. Hundreds of successful client meetings have been completed. What we offer are hot desks, private offices, dedicated desks, warehouse space as well as bookable meeting space across our locations. The Corner is the workplace you need to run a successful business.

A Typical Day…

You start the day by opening the space, bringing positivity and creating a warm welcome for all the members and guests. Most importantly, you get yourself a coffee or tea to start the morning off.

As members arrive, you will greet them and make sure they have everything they need for the day. When the first meeting room guests arrive, you show them where the kitchen is (coffee is crucial) and where their room is. You help them set up their Wi-Fi connections and ensure they have the proper tech requirements to set up their presentation and anything else they need.

A new member is coming in for the first day, so you meet with them to learn more about their business and ensure they have everything they need to get started and be successful. You think about how you can connect them to other members in the space and plan some “organic” introductions.

Shortly before your lunch break, a guest comes in inquiring about the space and what memberships they offer. You walk them around to show them the space, introduce them to a few members who are getting a coffee in the kitchen, and sit down with them to find out more about what they do and how we can provide them with the best experience. You get their contact information and provide them with a link to sign up for a test drive. Now it’s lunchtime!

After you’re fed, you do an overview of the invoicing to ensure all members are current. It would also be a good time to check emails and make sure you’ve completed any priority tasks. You take a walk around the space to ensure everything is fresh and ready for a tour booked in the afternoon. You take notes of anything that may need to be repaired or if any supplies are low. While on your walkabout, a member tells you that the printer isn’t working. Time to activate your troubleshooting powers and get everything back in working order!

Before heading out, you do a final walk around the building, speaking with members and asking how their day went as they start to wind down and head for home. Take a quick look in the kitchen to see if anything needs to be stocked or cleaned, and tidy any areas that need it.
