Coworking scholarship available to address the mental health struggles of remote workers

Nominations are now Open

In conjunction with the Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CMHA) designation of May 1-7th as Mental Health Awareness Week, The Corner Coworking is accepting nominations to award a deserving local resident a six-month scholarship to work from its professional workspaces in Cochrane and Okotoks, Alberta.

Currently, The Corner Coworking has a community of about 140 drop-in, part-time, and full-time members company-wide, many of whom admit they joined for the daily connection with other people more than the shared resources and expenses and feel it has been transformative for them personally as well as professionally.

To help someone who may not know that coworking exists in Cochrane or may not understand the value it could bring to their life, The Corner Coworking invites people to nominate themselves, or someone they know for the six-month free membership being offered until May 7th.

Nominations can be sent by email to hello@thecornercoworking.ca, through comments and/or direct messaging on The Corner’s social media channels, or by leaving a reply below. The nomination process is as simple as reporting who is being nominated, what their current work situation is, how it’s affecting them and what they hope a coworking scholarship could offer.

The nominations will be reviewed by a selection of current Corner community members and staff, and a winner will be announced on May 8th on The Corner’s social media channels.

The Corner Coworking, Inc. opened Cochrane’s first coworking location in 2018 and now has 3 locations plus a co-warehousing option in Cochrane and a new 5,000 sq. ft. facility in Okotoks. The Corner Coworking offers a variety of office, meeting, and open workspaces on a drop-in, part-time or full-time basis.
