Welcome to 2022 & the latest edition of “Your Corner” – February 2022, a newsletter that brings you insights and information about #entrepreneurship, #coworking and what’s happening at The Corner.

We love to share opportunities that will help local businesses and here are a few that we are indirectly connected to and you should get involved.

The Cochrane Chamber of Commerce Trade Show is Back! In-person and filling fast. It runs Saturday May 7, 2022 & Sunday May 8, 2022. Sign up for a booth – https://www.cochranechamber.ca/tradeshow/ or plan to attend and learn about many of the local businesses we have in Cochrane.
The Cochrane Business Network is opening up in-person events again. March 8th we have a panel discussion planned that will cover the challenges and changes to retail business in Cochrane over the past year or so. Wins & Losses, we’ll be sharing them all. Our January survey asked what we need in Cochrane to launch/attract more #startups. It is very satisfying to hear that Innovate Cochrane & #StartupCochrane are on the right track…you need access to professionals for advice (that is planned) as well as access to seed/growth funding, we are investigating the viability of an Investment Co-operative here in town. Locals investing in locals!

Members Update

The Corner Coworking & Co-warehousing – Railway St.

At The Corner HQ, on Railway St E, we have the perfect mix of shared office space, private offices and shared warehouse space. It’s our most active location, as we serve UPS customers for Cochrane and surrounding areas too. This has been a great way to promote The Corner to a wide and varied audience!

Recently, David from Aspen Films, a Canadian video production company joined us at Railway St, snapping up our remaining Dedicated Desk. Aspen Films is a full-service video production company, working with individuals, small businesses & national associations.

January was a busy time, meeting and onboarding new members in our office spaces. We have a bunch of new #virtual members to introduce who have joined in February, stay tuned!

New Opportunity to Join The Corner?

With our three locations either close to full or overflowing, we’ve started to search for the ‘fourth Corner’. Recently we found another ideal space, a mix of office/meeting/retail space connected to warehouse space.
